There are 4 books in The Inheritance Cycle. It first used to be the Inheritance Trilogy(3 books) but then the author, Christopher Paolini, decided to make it into 4 books because the 3rd book would be too long (it still was pretty long). The books are: -Eragon -Eldest -Brisingr -Book 4(It didn't come out yet and Paolini didn't name it yet)
All 3 books that came out are awesome. They are the BEST books in the world.
